Both BP and Transocean, the owner and operator of the Deepwater Horizon, knew at least two weeks before the disaster occurred that there were problems with the Blowout Preventer. In an exclusive interview with the Chief Electronics Officer aboard the Deepwater Horizon, who survived the explosions and fire by leaping from 100 feet into the Gulf, he reveals two problems with the Blowout Preventer. The revelations were first broadcast on CBS on Sixty Minutes aired Sunday, May 16, 2010.
